Tekla’s Summer Sleep

In a light-filled room in Copenhagen’s fairytale-esque Charlottenborg, snuck behind Apollo Bar, TEKLA Fabrics staged the perfect summer bedroom scene. The textile studio’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ gift shop for 3daysofdesign was designed with furniture craftsman Axel Wanneberg to showcase a ‘dreamlike state of summer’.

TEKLA’s entire catalog of textiles was on display in the curated bedroom. The brand’s much-loved Terry Bathrobes hung on Wannberg hooks in a neat line in the back corner.

Towels and robes were ready for custom embroidery by Swedish tailor Frida Fredriksson who worked away at a Wannberg designed table. TEKLA’s recent collaboration with John Pawson on a series of four plaid Cotswold-inspired merino wool blankets was a focal point, draped over the centerpiece bed.

Founded in 2017 by Swedish-born Charlie Hedin, TEKLA’s accessible and quality textiles have quickly become favourites in the home-centric Nordic region. Fabrics in sedate neutrals or gem tones are mixed and matched; available in light linens for the long summer days or comforting percale cotton for the dark winter.
