Introducing the second series of podcasts on Nordic innovators from the pages of Oak volume 9.
Oak’s series of podcasts, Nordic Traces, brings the magazine to life through inspiring discussions with creatives featured in the new issue.
To mark the publication of Volume 9: The Creative Spaces Issue, Oak writers Charlie Robin Jones and Daisy Woodward interview innovators from across the Nordics about how spaces and places shape their practices. In the first podcast, artist Olafur Eliasson speaks movingly about how his Berlin super-studio fuels his creativity. We also host a discussion between artists Sophie Erlund and Henrik Strömberg about the influence of location on their work. In a third podcast, Woodward interviews the founder of the eponymous design studio, Sigurd Larsen Design & Architecture and writer and translator Saskia Vogel about place in translation.
The Nordic Traces podcast series is part of a project with – an initiative exploring the global resonance of the Nordic region. As part of this collaboration, Oak also hosted several visual dialogues online between leading Nordic creatives from Oak volume 9.
