Babba C Rivera and Sophie Bille Brahe are sharing snapshots from their lives and creative spaces to mark the launch of Oak Volume 9.
Swedish-born, New York-based, Babba C Rivera is a marketing guru and style icon who put ride-sharing giant, Uber on the map in Sweden; appeared on the Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2016 and founded her own brand marketing agency, bybabba. Rivera’s agency works with forward-thinking, fashion, tech and wellness related brands such as ATP Atelier, Glossier and Suistudio, amongst many others.
Jewellery designer Sophie Bille Brahe was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. She began making jewellery as a child in a small workshop built for her to explore her passion by her alternative-bohemian school. Sophie trained with master-jewellers in Copenhagen before studying fine jewellery design at the Royal College of Art in London. Encouraged by fashion insiders she founded her label in 2011. At her studio within a converted schoolhouse in Copenhagen jewellery is made by hand using centuries-old goldsmith techniques.
