The coffee is by Helsingen Kahvipaahtimo – considered by many to be the best coffee roaster in Helsinki – and the art, as you might expect from the name, comes from local Finnish artists and designers. Katja Hagelstam lovingly curates and styles the shop space into a new world every month, showcasing both established and emerging artists alongside each other in thematic exhibitions. Coordinating and launching these exhibitions is among the lofty ambitions of Lokal, reinforcing its reputation as one of the best places to shop in Helsinki.
