After six successful years at design company Norway Says, Norwegian designer Andreas Engesvik decided to go solo and create furniture, tableware, and industrial design for international clients in his own name. Through the years he has also shown interest in designing purely decorative objects, an avenue rarely pursued in the functionalist approach of modern design.
Andreas Engesvik’s designs are characterized by smart details and clarity of concept. With an emphasis on minimalism and timelessness, he takes inspiration from personal moments in his life, dinners with family and friends, his Norwegian heritage, and filters these moments into his designs, giving them a character and life all their own.
He has collaborated with Iittala, Asplund, Muuto, Menu, Ligne Roset, and StokkeAustad, and his designs and collaborations have won many coveted awards including the Red Dot Award and ICFF Editors Award.
